Cape Henlopen State Park is located one mile east of Lewes, Delaware near the boarding station for the Cape May Lewes Ferry. Go crabbing, surf-fishing, sunbathing, swimming, and walking on the beach along the Cape's shoreline. Cape Henlopen is the home of the Great Dune, the highest sand dune between Cape Hatteras and Cape Cod, which rises 80 feet above the shore.

With almost 4,000 acres, there's something for everyone at the Cape. The sandy peninsula features four miles of glistening beach and rolling Atlantic waves. Take a walk along the Pinelands Trail or the Seaside Nature Trail, enjoy a family picnic in the sheltered pavilion, or visit the Seaside Nature Center with it's five, 1,000 gallon aquariums teeming with the aquatic life found in the surrounding bay and ocean waters. A 1/4-mile-long pier offers easily accessible fishing. Don't miss the refurbished World War II observation tower - a featured stop on nature walks and open from April to October.
